Your days, with a little more clarity.
Dagenza is an independent iPhone calendar app that brings appointments, reminders and celebrations together. Switch from a simple list to a day, multi-day, week, month or year overview, and make your agenda easier to recognize with colors and emoji.

Your calendars, already on your iPhone

Dagenza works with the calendars available through Apple Calendar on your iPhone. Set up your calendar accounts in iOS first, then give Dagenza calendar access. Whether an appointment can be edited depends on the calendar it belongs to: subscribed and other read-only calendars remain read-only.

Appointments created or edited in Dagenza are saved to your calendar. Dagenza uses Apple’s appointment editor for familiar fields such as title, calendar, date, time, location, notes and alerts.

You can choose which calendars Dagenza displays. A day marked Free has no appointments in the calendars currently shown; hidden calendars may still contain appointments.

An overview for every kind of day

  • List: scroll through your days and appointments, with optional subtle day-header colors and alternating row backgrounds.
  • Day and multi-day timelines: see when appointments start, how long they last and where they overlap. Tap an empty time slot to create an appointment at that time.
  • Week: compare the days of your week and see their appointments together.
  • Month: explore your month week by week, expand a week for more detail and tap a day to continue planning.
  • Year: get a broader view and navigate to a month.
  • Tasks: keep track of dated reminders and mark them as completed. Reminder access is separate from calendar access.
  • Celebrations: browse birthdays and anniversaries from your contacts. Contact access is optional.

Choose your starting view and which views appear in navigation. Turn off empty days in the list when you prefer a shorter overview.

Find a date or an appointment

Use search to find appointments and refine the results with filters. Search can also include hidden calendars.

The time compass lets you jump to a date, week or month. Tap the title to open it, explore the months, or return to Today or Tomorrow.

Tap an appointment to open its details. From there you can open the regular appointment editor, review its information and use available Dagenza settings for that item.

Make appointments easier to recognize

Give items a color or emoji to distinguish work, family, exercise or anything else that matters to you. With Plus, keyword rules can apply a color, an emoji or both automatically to matching appointments and tasks.

Calendar sets let Plus users save groups of calendars, for example Work and Personal. Sets can also switch on a schedule.

Weather and travel

With Dagenza Plus, show weather alongside your days. Use your current location or a selected location, and keep favorite weather locations for later. Current-location weather requires location permission.

Travel planning lets you set a departure address, transport type and arrival buffer. You can enable departure notifications or add separate travel blocks to your calendar. Estimates depend on the route information returned by Apple Maps; they are estimates rather than guarantees.

Dagenza calculates its own travel planning. Travel time entered in Apple Calendar is not used for these calculations.

Widgets and notifications

Put your agenda on the Home Screen or add supported widgets to the Lock Screen. My Day and Next Appointment are available without Plus; additional widgets require Plus.

Widgets display information supplied by Dagenza. Open the app after changing access or settings if a widget needs updating. iOS controls widget refresh timing, so a widget is not a continuously updating copy of the app.

Configure alerts for appointments, reminders and all-day events, and enable calendar-invitation alerts. Plus also lets you choose what the app badge counts. Notification permission is required for alerts.

Privacy and your control

Calendar and reminder access lets Dagenza display and edit your items. Search happens on your device, and calendar content is not automatically sent to the developer.

Settings stay on your device unless you enable optional iCloud settings sync. This can include preferences, calendar sets, appearance rules and names or keywords you enter. Settings sync does not upload appointment or reminder content to the developer.

Weather requests send location coordinates to Apple WeatherKit. Place searches and travel estimates send the information needed for the request to Apple Maps. External links and selected Maps or weather apps use those services under their own privacy policies.

You can revoke permissions in iOS Settings and disable optional features in Dagenza. Deleting Dagenza does not delete the original appointments and reminders from your calendar accounts.

Read the full privacy policy for the developer’s policy on data use and your rights.

Questions and useful tips

An appointment is visible in Apple Calendar but not in Dagenza.
Check whether its calendar is included in Dagenza’s current selection or calendar set, and check the displayed date and search filters.

I cannot edit an appointment.
Its calendar may be read-only. Check the account and calendar permissions in Apple Calendar.

Tasks or celebrations are missing.
Check reminder or contact permission in iOS Settings. Tasks use reminders with dates; celebrations depend on the relevant information in your contacts.

A widget is empty or shows older information.
Open Dagenza, check calendar access and the visible calendars, then allow iOS to refresh the widget. Some widgets require Plus.

I bought Plus before.
Use Restore Purchases with the Apple account used for the purchase.
