Shellmate is a fast, native iOS app for scoring hands, tracking rounds, and keeping the table moving — with a calm dark interface, subtle sea-glitch details, no accounts, no tracking, and no automatic data sharing.

Why Shellmate

• Built for the table: Add 2 to 4 players, score each hand quickly, and keep running totals visible across rounds.
• Stop & Last Chance: Choose who ended the round, enter colour-series bonuses for Last Chance, and let Shellmate apply the correct scoring outcome.
• Base game support: Collections, duos, multipliers, mermaids, instant wins, colour groups, and round-end checks are modelled with deterministic scoring.
• Extra Salt & Extra Pepper: Optional expansion support for extra duos, starfish trios, seahorses, events, and special scoring effects.
• Shared deck awareness: Cards scored by one player reduce what others can still score in the same round.
• Saved players: Reuse player names for faster setup, and remove names you no longer need.
• Bilingual: Switch the whole app between English and Dutch.
• Accessible by design: VoiceOver labels, Dynamic Type-friendly text, clear controls, and Reduce Motion support for glitch animations.
• Private by design: No account required, no tracking SDKs, and game data stays on your device unless you choose to email support.

Get started

1. Start a new game and add at least two players.
2. Choose the base game or add Extra Salt and Extra Pepper.
3. At the start of each round, choose Stop or Last Chance.
4. Score each player’s hand and confirm the round.
5. Let Shellmate track totals and call game over at the right threshold.

No Board Buddy source code is reused. A few product ideas, such as fast score entry and playful text effects, were useful inspiration and are acknowledged in the app.
